The square knots are to be worn centered directly above the left shirt pocket. The first knot should be placed with its bottom edge touching the top seam of the pocket flap. The next two knots are placed on both sides of the first knot in a straight row of three knots. Adult Leader Knots and Awards In March of the Boy Scouts of America announced the first six square knot awards. These awards were to replace the ribbon bars that were being earned at the time. It is called the INCLUSIVE SCOUTING AWARD, and has its own (unofficial)knot to put on the uniform provided by SCOUT PRIDE. Yep you guessed right. It means that you're open to being approached by gay and or atheist Scouts. As a active adult leader is a Boy Scout Troop for over 9 years, the only knot I was eligible to obtain was the Scouter’s Training Award. Beside that, there really isn’t any recognition for the Assistant Scoutmaster’s ot eh Committee members, yet there is an award for practically every position in Cubs.
Most adult awards and recognitions have certificates, pins or medals, and a patch usually with a square knot embroidered on it in different colors.
