The Adult Basic Education programs are designed for adults and out-of-school youth ages 16 years or older who are currently functioning below the eighth grade standards. The adult basic education resources will assist programs in preparing students to improve their skills, so they can move ahead in their jobs, transition to further education. The Disability and Health Program (DHP) is funded by a five-year grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The goals of the program are to include Floridians of all ages with disabilities in all the Department of Health’s programs and activities for health promotion, disease prevention, wellness, and disaster preparedness.
